Lessons and Sessions

Choosing what is best for you and how to book!

Newcomer: Do you want to discover the Experience of Shooting?

This can be done in the form of a 'taster session' either as an individual, or as a group (stag/hen parties included) should you have friends or family to share the session with, in a safe but friendly environment with the emphasis on having fun

all sessions can be from 1 hour to full day according to requirements

All guns, ammunition and PPE can be supplied

This can also be used for corporate events or team building exercises if you are looking for something different

Beginner: This will cover all aspects of shotgun use, incorporating basic gun maintenance (including breaking down into basic parts and reassembly)

safety & safe handling of shotguns,

How to choose the correct ammunition for your shotgun, and for your chosen targets.

Learn the basics of shotgun shooting, stance, gun mount, feet positioning, and shown the three recognised methods of shotgun shooting. But also never losing sight of the fun element of shooting in that safe friendly environment

Advanced Beginner: This is where you will learn more about the sport in detail, in terms of which disciplines are available to you (and availability in your locality)  you  will have the opportunity to try out (where available) the various types that fall under the main heading of Skeet, Trap & Sporting (also learning the differences of all variations under each heading) and which techniques work best for each one.

Help you to decide which of the disciplines you may wish to 'specialise in, or simply which would suit you best to get started

Improver: This level will be for 'C' class standard shooters upwards, who are wishing to improve their competition results, looking to gain places in county, regional or even national teams. Focussing on technique, stance, footwork, hold points, sight points and gun movement/target connection, all  designed to raise your awareness of strengths/weaknesses and what areas need work to improve. we would also be discussing the basics of nutrition & hydration

Advanced: - This is for those who have gained their national team place, probably  looking to consolidate their technique by constantly being pushed, tested even, to find that 'magic key' to consistency to remain at the top or their chosen discipline, Together we will create routines and plans for training, both in and out of the competition periods. also going more 'in-depth' on the benefits of nutrition, hydration and exercises so that you are ready to compete to the best of your ability throughout the season,

Pro/Advanced plus: here is where the International shooters will find the most benefits, with training and coaching totally devoted to gaining International team places to compete at the highest levels overseas, working on training plans as well as competition scheduling and planning for complete 2-3 year cycle, focussing on technique, psychology, nutrition/hydration and physical exercise, all aiming to maximise your strengths and eliminating any weaknesses

Groups (mixed ability): these sessions would perfect for those who have been shooting for a while, but have hit 'the wall' with their scores or simply for a group of friends who would like a lesson but also having their friends along to share the experience

Groups (similar Ability): Similar to the above, but more suited to groups of similar abilities, who are looking to improve their competition scores, but still enjoying the group environment. This can work really well for the competitive shooters as once shown, they can help each-other by reminding of the things learned to help resist 'slipping back; back into the bad habits that were restricting performances before. This also works well for national Squad members looking to improve, and by working together as a squad gives each member a sense of support
